Nadine sallinen
Nadine Sallinen is an artist residing and working in BC, Canada: her main subjects being inspired by nature. She has had a fascination with art since childhood and started with watercolors, drawing with pencil, colored pencils, pen, ink and acrylic painting, and then to using pastels. Using her distinctive pastel technique to create flawless details, Nadine has captured the essence and innocence of this Mum and her cub in this piece. This precious work is only one of two created.

The “Plunge” is a stunning, original work by artist Karin Taylor: Karin began her career as a watercolor artist specializing in wildlife, but over time bears became her chosen subject matter. Those of you on the Sunshine Coast may know Karin from her bronze “Yoga Bear” sculptures. One of which was commissioned by the Town of Gibsons to be part of the public art pathway from lower to upper Gibsons. Karin’s work can be found in galleries across Canada. We are so fortunate to have her bear creations here on the our Sunshine Coast.
